Great hike, compromised only by my own arthritic condition.

Good hike. Sorry about my condition, caused by forgetting my special pills beforehand. Didn't intend to slow everyone down.

I won't be doing the swim. I realize now that coming on top of five hours sleep(if I'm lucky) from working all night, and giving the talks, exhaustion will be the order of the day.
See you all at 11:25 at Hamsterley Beach tomorrow.

Hi Everyone I just got into town last night and I see that they are moving the polar bear swim to Thetis lake, but I am still going to put the hike on at Elki/beaver lake. Since the swim was just optional anyway it won't effect our hike. We should be done the hike by 1pm which gives anyone who want to do the swim at Thetis lake enough time to get there since the swim start time is 2:30.

See you New Years day at Elk Lake.

I hope to join Gordon for the swim(it'll be my 11th I think!). Also I intend to share my knowledge of the old reservoir, the V&S Railway and the 1982 Trail Project which made this round-lakes hike possible.

I'd really like to participate in this, but I injured a knee running to catch a bus on Friday and I'm barely walking at all right now. Apart from work, it will keep me from joining the weekly walks to my disappointment. We'll see how things go. I may do the swim. Happy Christmas everyone!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
