Let’s do a average pace hike to the summit of Mt. Work

We will be hiking up to the summit of Mt Work from the Ross-Durrance Rd side.and returning the same way. 

This will not be a fast hike we will be taking our time. If you are a fast hiker I will be making you slow down and go at the pace of the group.

We will be meeting at the Ross-Durrance Rd parking lot

Directions: Mt Work Trailhead Drive north from Victoria on the Pat Bay Highway, take the Royal Oak exit, turning left on Royal Oak Drive. Turn right on West Saanich Road and continue until you come to Wallace Drive (on your left, just past the Red Barn market). Follow this to Willis Point Road on your left which you take until you see the Mt Work turnoff sign on the left side of the road. It will be your 1st rd on your left.

Length of trail: approx 6 km return

Elevation gain 300 meters.

Approximate hiking time: 2 1/2 -3 hours returned including break on top for snacks/lunch and pictures

Trail Rating: level 2+

To wear/bring:

-sturdy foot wear

-Appropriate clothing for the weather

-snacks and water

    Well, I'm a muppet. I took a wrong turn in the highlands and got lost... by the time I got there it was 1040 and ya'll were well on your way up the hill I guess.
    Feeling very silly =P
