Just an idea, probably too late for this upcoming meetup. There are many members new to R and are here to learn the language and all. I am such a member myself. We have interesting talks every time but most of them are quite "high-end". Still everybody can learn from that but maybe we can also target a talk each meeting for basic R stuff. I assume it's no problem for our R gurus (Rainer wink wink) to prepare 15 minutes short talk about some basic concept that all advanced R devs know, but is important to know as early as possible for beginners. That could be an excellent addition to our already great mix of special technical stuff and how people use R in their projects (real life experiences).

    What do you think?

Maybe a teaser to start with. Let's see what I can come up with on the weekend. "So much time and so little to do" (Willy Wonka)

yep, I agree on that: basic language concepts etc, but maybe also important packages ...

Think it's a great idea, Peter! ... in that way for our meetups being able to adress more different levels overall.
