OK... this is NOT an official meetup AND it is VERY last minute, but I literally just found out tonight that my good friends Chef Bernard Guillas and Chef Ron Oliver (of Marine Room!!!) are having a book signing event TOMORROW NIGHT at the Upstart Crow...and its FREE to attend!
If you're not familiar with Chef Bernard Guillas and Chef Ron Oliver of the Marine Room, they are arguably 2 of the best chefs in San Diego...and perhaps all of Socal! And, they'll be personally autographing their new, critically acclaimed book: "Flying Pans"

Whether you’re looking for an exotic new recipe to impress, or if you just enjoy mouth watering displays of international cuisine, Flying Pans: Two Chefs One World, co-authored by chefs Bernard Guillas and Ron Oliver of La Jolla’s landmark Marine Room restaurant, is sure to ignite the senses. In a special appearance at Upstart Crow Bookstore & Coffeehouse in Seaport Village on June 17 at 7pm, the chefs will share the extraordinary journey that led to this book. In "Flying Pans" the chefs’ passion for food, culture and culinary travel jumps off the pages.
