It’s time to celebrate all things veggie, as NOLA’s annual vegetarian and vegan food fest returns to the New Orleans Healing Center the weekend of May 11th-12th. The festival features product samples, vendor booths, cooking demos, nonprofit groups, speakers, films and lots of delicious vegan food. A lead sponsor of the fest is the New Orleans Food Co-op, which operates a community-owned grocery store at the New Orleans Healing Center. The co-op serves the New Orleans vegan/vegetarian community by making local, organic and other healthy vegetarian products available in the area.
