Notes/errata/updates for Chapter 12:
See the official book errata at - Chapter 12 includes pages 379 - 393.

The book mentions table_cache, but its name has been changed and is now called table_open_cache. It also mentions key_buffer_size, for MyISAM indexes, but hopefully you won't be using too many MyISAM tables. For InnoDB tables, the innodb_buffer_pool_size sets the amount of memory allocated for InnoDB indexes *and* data together.

Logging slow queries has also changed. Instead of using log-slow-queries, you now use slow_query_log=1 and log_output=FILE. See for details.

This space is reserved for updates and questions about Chapter 12 of the Learning MySQL book being used in the MySQL Marinate virtual self-study course. If you want, you can go to the Master Discussion List for MySQL Marinate Season 2.
