Sunday 9/29 DaySail w/EveningSail Winnipesaukee

Whenever you RSVP or are Wait-Listed: To be confirmed in the sail plan, make sure you are reachable. Send your phone numbers over personal email [Not email sent through VYC] to> [masked]

Unfamiliar w/ the J22? Check it out. Boat is not like other VYC skippers' ocean boats you may have sailed on. A J22 puts you in closer contact with the water. No galley. No cushions. No head/toilet [we use Bucket or Jar]. J-Boats are designed for responsiveness, not comfort. There is space to stow a well organized bag of carry-on comforts. See a boat photo on profile page or Google "J22 Sailboat Images".

You Need Directions to Boat-Slip: MapQuest delivers you to Fay's. But the boatyard is a maze. Employees cannot direct you to the boat. For this, you need added directions & my cell# to call from the road if lost. Make sure to get this info from me, before you leave home.

Meet at boat-slip in time to be loading boat by 11:30am~ If you need an adjustment to the start time, to make sailing on this day possible, contact me with your specifics. If you need to cancel on the day of event, call. If you are running late, call from the road. Before attending, read my profile for outline of the expectations typically placed on crew & description of the type of sailing this skipper offers.

What to do if the days get shorter and the "charger" for the battery is only a 64cm2 solar trickle charger?

There is even cheaper stuff from Attwood (I prefer the Aqua Signal Series 23).

Four AA batteries last for 12 hours or so, and weak AA's are always good for using them up in the Garmin 76.

Always cheaper than a ticket from the lake patrol :-)

Take advice from the below-7m-Sailing-and-Weather-God. Before it is too late. There is still hope, and the light on the horizon might always be a patrol boat!

Jens, but of course I would still love you anyway. That's what Grannies Do (that, and feed you actual solid foods). It's OK Terri, this is "what we do"...Poke each other... No referee needed. Not until someone pokes an eye out of course, but by then I suppose it is too late (by most people's estimation anyway) but I think Jens might look good w/an eye-patch. Come to think of it, his hair style sort of calls for it, don't you think?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
