Jeff Bolster will present his account of the devastating impact of the overfishing of our oceans. Blending marine biology, ecological insight, and a remarkable cast of characters, in his new book he tells a story that is both ecological and human: the prelude to environmental disaster. Jeff is an Associate Professor of the Historical Dept. at UNH, an expert in the areas of maritime history, early American history, African American history, New Hampshire history, and environmental history of Northwest Atlantic commercial fisheries. According to Bolster, "I am intrigued with anthropogenic changes to the sea and the ways those changes have influenced human society and culture."
Social hour, dinner and beverages 6:30 - 7:30PM will be in the Goody Cole Room, followed by any club business discussion and then Mr. Bolster's presentation.
