My friend Bob Janson told me about you..I've wanted to join a sailing group for a long time.
When I was a child we lived on Harpswell Neck, south of Brunswick, ME during the summer months. We had an Ocean Going Day Sailor which one of our friends built for us. I learned how to sail, come about, come into a dock or a mooring, how to handle a jib and a spinnaker. I don't have a boat at this time, but would like to be a crew member for a skipper.
I'm a good listener, and can follow instructions..can help as a crew member. I'm also good at being a hostess, pouring wine and cooking barbeque over the grill. I'm learning digital photography and can take action shots of boats, skippers and crews.
I took a Coast Guard Piloting course long ago but do not have a boating license at this time. Will get one if needed.
Hi, I grew up sailing with my family on the Harpswell Sound in Maine..We had an Ocean Going Day Sailer, which we used to race in a local yacht club competition. My mom was a great skipper..who taught me how to sail, come about, get to the mooring.
I enjoyed the meeting.. good to see some old friends.
