I love the idea of a photography group associated to an art center. It is a chance to see and show work. My hope for the group is that it becomes more oriented to showing work of the member photographers.
Before I dropped out of photography I had achieved a measure of success. I had been published and done magazione work and was putting together a one man show. I dropped out after my show at the Canon Salon on the Tokyo Ginza, "Outback in America"
Shows, show preparation, exhibits, photo books, gallery visits...
Perhaps. I always like to go to New Mexico and Utah. Could probably lead trips to New Mexico. Been to the Holy Week pilgrimage to Chimayo several times and could lead a group. Also interested in symposiums and gatherings around the States.
Interested in fine art photography with what I call street photography. Mostly interested in people and their cultural artifacts.
I first became interested in photography in the 70's and it became an obsession.. Single, alone and spending all my time in the darkroom, I started to question what I was doing and dropped out. Now, retired with plenty of time, I have returned,
Training, education, to meet other photographers.
