Hey there Nikki!! I was wondering.. how big of a backpack are we talking here? I attempted Whitney with a 25 lb pack and didn't get too far! I have never used a pack when hiking so it was really a shock to have to try to carry. On this hike your doing, do you think a lighter pack would be ok?

I just spoke with the conservancy. Parts of the trail are closed due to rain, they don't know when they will be opened again. Also, if there's more rain in the next month, they may close more trails. Check with them before leaving.

Hey Nikki! nice to hear from you. My trip to Catalina is completely done and planned, I just have to figure out how to get there. I'm looking for a nice person with a sailboat to take us there and bring us back. :) otherwise we'll have to do the Catalina Express which is no big deal but I want the sail boat to drop us off at the end of the trail so we can do it backwards. :) When is your trip?
