Hike with TVPDX

On May 4th TVPDX is hosting a hike and picnic lunch, on the Wildwood Trail from the zoo to Pittock Mansion. Remember to bring water, snacks/ picnic lunch, wear appropriate clothing (avoid jeans/ cotton if you can), and be prepared for any weather- layers are always a good plan in Oregon.

The mileage makes this a moderate hike, so keep that in mind. Parking at the zoo is not free, it is something like $5, so if you drive be prepared for that. Use MAX Park and Rides if you are coming from outside of the city. If it has been rainy there will be muddy spots. This hike has a lot of ups and downs, though nothing really steep - rolling hills, mostly. Unless it's pouring rain, the hike will happen.

If you want a map of the route email me as I do not think I can attach the PDF here.

See you soon!

Hey guys, it's supposed to be in the mid 80s Saturday, so be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks (I recommend a couple liters of water). See you there!

Does anyone know if money for parking in the lot there goes to the zoo? If so, that's something to keep in mind. I recommend the MAX!

This will be 7.6-8 miles, so keep that in mind - longer than our hike last summer!

We will be coordinating carpooling if needed. We may also end up doing a hike that is accessible via Tri Met. Stay tuned!

I'd like to do this, but I'd need to catch a ride with someone too.
