Early dinner at Sub Rosa

So Sub Rosa is donating proceeds on this day to Growing Gardens. Growing Gardens is a local non-profit that shows low income people and families how to start a garden at their residence.

I am wanting to hear Alicia Silverstone at Powells later in the evening, so my plan is to be done eating and on our way if not to Powells on Burnside by 6:15 or so. I am sure it will be crowded, so I may have to stand for the talk, but I want to support Growing Gardens as well.

Sub Rosa has a coupon in the chinook book if you have one. I am going to call to see how vegan friendly they are. If they are not very vegan friendly I will most likely cancel this event and get food at Blossoming Lotus or Rocco's (vegan pizza).

So this is the plan for now. Hope to see you at some point throughout the evening. The Alicia Silverstone talk is posted as a separate meetup event in case you were wondering.

the vegan food options were tasty, the service was fast but the server felt inclined to give a couple lectures to us and that wasn't really appreciated. would not go back but it was worth one experience.

A bit hurried because we wanted to get to Powell's in plenty of time for Alicia Silverstone's presentation, but nice atmosphere, good service, and great company.
