  • Bye & Bye

Apparently December 12th marks the annual holiday weight gain mid-season.

For those of us who can't (or just don't/won't) bake then this is the vegan goodies event to attend and Buy & Buy! :D

Get some goodies here (or make extra to share) and then take them over to Deanna's VLV Cookie Exchange at People's.

Apron Activists Bake Sale
Saturday, December 12th at 2:00 PM

Join the Apron Activists for a holiday bake sale at The Bye & Bye, Saturday, December 12th from 2pm until only crumbs are left! 1011 NE Alberta St. Portland, 97211. There will be tempting treats as far as the eye can see. You can pick up boxes of cookies to send as gifts or just pop in for a cupcake! This bakesale is not to be missed. Biscotti! Donuts! Muffins! Cinnamon rolls! Pumpkin Pie! Gingerbread! They'll have it all. There will even be Fauxstess Cupcakes!

They'll be raising money for the Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary, a scenic haven south of Portland OR that provides safe harbor to farm animals, each with a story to tell. They're very excited to lend them their support!

To participate further: Tie on your favorite apron and bake up some vegan goodness. Bring your treats to the Bye & Bye between 2 and 4pm (they'll be selling until they're sold out!) It would be really cool if you could provide a printed out ingredients list, too, that way if people have allergies or preferences they can size up their options.

Also, if people are interested in going out Alberta/Mississippi way a bit early (or after) to have lunch perhaps at any of the multitude of vegan choices that way then let us know via email or your RSVP.

I brought gluten and soy free peanut butter fudge. Didn't get anything because I had a full belly of tasting to create the fudge right, but did put some dollars in the donation thing. It was nice to see some friends and sorry I missed others. All around I hope bake sales happen more often. Great idea!
Though I'm not sure if I saw anyone from the meet up. Don't know if they were there when I was or not. I got there a little after 3
