Please bring a plant-based (no animal products, including honey) main dish, salad, or dessert; a card listing its ingredients; and plates and utensils for your use. Need plant-based ideas? Click here. If you come alone, figure the amount to serve 4-6; increase the amount 4 servings for each additional person in your party/family. Northwest VEG potlucks are alcohol-free events. For more information call [masked] or email [masked]. If you can volunteer to help at the potluck, please contact [masked] or call [masked].
Following the potluck, about 7:30 pm, Northwest VEG President Peter Spendelow will give a presentation on animal consciousness and awareness. Do fish feel pain? Are birds stupid? Science is making great strides in understanding consciousness, so come learn what is new.
There is no Viva La Vegan event host (veganlicious is not a real person) for this event but the event is being posted to facilitate other Viva La Vegan members getting together at this event. Members can see who else is going and email each other through their member pages to arrange meeting with each other at the event.
Just to be clear, there will be other people there besides the VLV group so it can still be fun to go even if no one else signs up. For instance Peter the speaker will be there and he's a member of VLV.
