Please join Northwest VEG for a delicious potluck followed by a tempeh making demo and presentation by the the founder of Turtle Island Foods (maker of Tofurky), Seth Tibbott! Seth will share with us how he got the company started in the early 80's and has grown it to be one of the leading companies in meat alternatives. We will also learn how to make our own tempeh and all about the Grand Opening of the new Tofurky food processing facility in Hood River this September. For more information on the Grand Opening click here.
The potluck will be held at the West Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 8470 SW Oleson Rd., Portland. Come to the potluck at 5:00pm, the presentation at 6:30pm, or both! Please bring a plant-based (no animal products, including honey) main dish, salad, or dessert; a card listing its ingredients; and plates and utensils for your use. Need plant-based ideas?
