Trek in the Park Final Show!

Let's go to Trek in the Park to see The Trouble with Tribbles! We'll meet at Plew's Brews at Noon so we can send a few people down to the park to set out blankets and save space for a dozen people or whatever.  Then every half hour or so we'll rotate the people watching the spots so they can come back and hang out at Plew's again.  Then by 4 or a bit after we'll all head down to properly take over the saved space.  I'll bring a couple of umbrellas so the folks holding the space can stay out of the sun.  A couple other people will need to bring blankets though, as my bike bag only holds so much.  If anyone has a small cooler for cold drinks at the park, that would also be a plus.  The show starts promptly at 5pm and lasts just over an hour. After the show in the park, anyone that would like some food can come with me to Proper Eats for dinner (at about 6:30, or later if there is something happening after the show).

Trek in the Park's Five-Year-Mission CONCLUDES! Over the last 4 summers, Atomic Arts has energized Portland to strange new worlds where no audience has gone before and it has all led to this- THE TROUBLE WITH TRIBBLES!

As Kirk and his crew attempt to settle a political dispute on a far off space station, they quickly realize their problems don't stop there as they have to deal with Federation brass, tempestuous Klingons, and tiny, furry creatures who are adorable, hungry and… multiplying.

Portland actors accompanied with live music and effects bring this classic piece of pop culture to life at historic and picturesque Cathedral Park under the St. Johns Bridge!

FREE TO THE PUBLIC. ALL AGES WELCOME.

Shows are at 5:00pm Saturdays and Sundays August 3-25 (4 weekends, 8 shows total!)

The amphitheater is located under the St. Johns bridge at the corner of N Pittsburgh in N Portland.

The Saturday 8/24 show will feature a special post-show live musical performance by THE DOUBLECLICKS!!

Spend a day in the park, bring a picnic and BOLDLY GO!

And a whole article with videos and more if you're into that sort of thing:

There is a very high chance I won't be off work in time to make it. I'm changing my RSVP, but if I do get back to St. Johns in time I will be there!

Will anyone be at Plew's at Noon? If not I'll have to go hold the space at the park until more people show. Please text me when you are arriving so we can start to coordinate. 3one5-7seven1-9five63

I'll be heading up the from the vegan book club meeting as soon as that's over. If anyone needs a ride from the book club to Trek, my car will have plenty of room.

I can't make this one, but I'll be at the one on the 24th. If they pitch Tribbles at you, try to grab one for me. ;-)
