Now on to the great news: Our beloved Chef Al Chase and Donna B are in town and available to wow and educate us with a fun interactive cooking presentation this Sunday!
Your Happy Harvest Table: From Knife Skills and Plate Presentation to How to Handle Your Pesky Aunt Sally!
We are so excited to announce that Al Chase, a.k.a. "Chef Al," and Donna B! will be joining us this Sunday to share their skills and passion for a vegan lifestyle. Chef Al will show us some quick knife skills and tricks to plate presentation plus share will us some FREE SAMPLES of fresh crudités wonders. Donna B will also be on hand to give us some tips on how to survive the upcoming holiday season as a vegan.
Al Chase is a vegan chef, educator and consultant with over 22 years as a vegan and over 40 years in the culinary world and Donna Benjamin is an organic plant-based lifestyle coach and educator. Together they coordinate the Vegan Village at the Better Living Show in Portland, Oregon and Santa Clara, California and teach 20 Day Vegan Culinary Arts Programs. They are also currently working on Chef Al's e-cookbook and online DVD series designed to teach and inspire folks to embrace an organic, plant-based lifestyle with gusto. The potluck will still be held at the West Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 8470 SW Oleson Rd., Portland. Come to the potluck at 5:00pm, the presentation at 6:30pm, or both! Please bring a plant-based (no animal products, including honey) main dish, salad, or dessert; a card listing its ingredients; and plates and utensils for your use. Need plant-based ideas?
