Vegan Outreach leafleting during Belmont Street Fair

I have both Compassionate Choices and Why Vegan leaflets in my house. We can spend 90 minutes leafleting on the street and then have a great lunch at one of the nearby vegan restaurants (either Sushi Love or Sweet Hereafter). For the leafleting we would need people that are 100% ethical vegans in order to appropriately advocate and answer questions (people who eat vegan, wear only vegan, don't use products tested on animals, etc.) and of course only wear vegan clothing for the leafleting please :) Since there will be a street fair I will bring extra leaflets. We would locate ourselves on street corners near the area (meeting at the corner of SE 33 and Belmont please). Please note that we may move to other street corners and away from SE 33 and Belmont depending on foot traffic and vendor spacing. But I will meet at 11AM at the corner of 33 and Belmont.

Total of 3 vegans leafleted(4 ate lunch). We handed out a total of 275 vegan outreach leaflets and at lease one Would Jesus Eat Meat Today leaflet. Then we ate a great vegan lunch and chatted. Zero negative encounters with public.
Zero negative encounters with shop owners
    Zero encounters with police.

    Highlights included:

a man with a shirt glorifying cheeseburgers saying he would read the leaflet through

a man who was using a religious excuse to eat animals was given a Would Jesus eat meat today leaflet and a coupon to VegFest and later came back to ask how he could volunteer at VegFest.

All in all it was a very successful day. I only wish I had brought more than 275 leaflets, but I am running very low and need to reorder.

It wasn't a religious excuse. I think he said, "You know what I like? That God created animals before he create man." I think he was being sympathetic to the cause. I just gave him the WWJE booklet because he referenced what I assumed was a Christian god.
