4th of July Picnic

Come join in the fun at Northwest VEG's annual 4th of July potluck picnic and celebrate the spirit of independence with delicious plant-based food. Look for the Northwest VEG banner on the hill.

Please bring a plant-based (no animal products, including honey) main dish, salad, or dessert (we'll supply the drinks); a card listing its ingredients; and plates, utensils and cups for your use; figure the amount to serve 6 generously.

Bring your croquet, badminton, bocce balls, or any other lawn or table games. We have reserved a number of picnic tables, but you may want to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Don't forget your tennis racquet if you play. A swimming pool at the park is available for a few dollars per person.

If it looks like rain, we'll meet at West Hills UU Fellowship, 8470 SW Oleson Road. Check our website for updates, or call (503) 746-8344.

Bus line 55 stops within .2 of a mile of the park. *Apparently bus #55 does not run on the weekends, so if you are willing to carpool with someone without a car, please post that with your rsvp. If you are someone looking for a ride, mention what area of town you are in and that you are looking for a ride.*

Hope to see you there!

It will probably be wrapping up by 4pm. But if it's a nice day we may hang out longer...

How long is the event? I do not think I can come at 1:00pm, but may stop by later in the afternoon. How late is too late?

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
