On December 14th, 2008, our volunteer community valiantly met the challenges presented by Arctic Blast '08. Community Cycling Center volunteers went above and beyond, excelled in some challenging, unpredictable circumstances, and created a wonderful Holiday Bike Drive experience for the 200 families that braved the elements. Thank you all so much for your enthusiasm, compassion and commitment!
On January 25th, we will be putting on Holiday Bike Drive: The Sequel. To recreate the magic for the 366 families that were unable to come to the initial event, we need your help! There are a wide variety of rewarding volunteer positions to choose from. Come lend your skills as a bike mechanic, teach lessons about bike safety or help us move all the bikes on Transportation Day. If you volunteered in December and had a blast, please join us again. If you couldn't make it to that event, here is your chance!
For more information, visit the Holiday Bike Drive: The Sequel Volunteer Page. http://www.communityc... Be sure to contact the volunteer coordinator to see what positions are open or to at least let him (brian) know you plan on coming. At the very least, you can meet me in front of Legacy Emmanuel Hospital at 12:15/ 12:20 and see if there is a need for anything.
