My homemade breakfast bean and kale and veggie burritos. Well, and other stuff--Indian, Ethiopian, a good veggie burger, mashed potatoes with garlic, chocolate chip cookies, etc.
Why do you ask?
I have been a vegetarian with some relapses for 25 years. I became interested when I was in debate in high school and researched animal rights. I stopped eating veal and have not EVER had it since. Since I got over my depression when I just started eating horrible $1 mcpigbreakfasts and am no longer buying $1 mcpigs, and I haven't bought cow milk in a long time. I am also aware of the fact that buying dairy or cheese or eggs from factory farms contributes to the suffing of animals. I don't know if I want to go totally vegan or continue to buy from local farmers who treat their dairy animals humanely, but I want to get to know vegans and keep mostly eating a plant-based diet and keep learing what I want to do. :)
Reading, spending quality time with my cat and humans, cooking, eating, finding recipes.
I'm a vegetarian who is attracted to veganism and wants to learn more. I love good eating and good local foods and want to make vegan friends, so I signed up for this meetup.
