Sharon Methvin, Ph.D., will present "Making a Difference for Animals - One Bite At A Time" following the regular Northwest VEG Vancouver Potluck. The talk and the potluck will be in the Elm Room of the Marshall Center, 1009 E. McLoughlin, Vancouver, WA 98663 [See map]. Come to the potluck at 6:30, the talk at 7:30, or both.
Dr. Methvin is an anthropologist and long time ethical vegetarian. She has been teaching anthropology and sociology at university or professional levels since 1988. Her humanitarian concerns extend beyond human rights to the rights of animals as well. Back in May 2010, Dr. Methvin also talked at the Vancouver Potluck about the animal markets of China and the lives and efforts of the brave animal activists in China.
Please bring a plant-based (no animal products, including honey) main dish, salad, or dessert; a card listing its ingredients; and plates and utensils for your use. Need plant-based ideas?
