Tell your raw-curious and just-starting-raw friends and colleagues about this wonderful, inexpensive opportunity to learn the basics of raw food preparation, taught by Gabrielle Chavez, author of The Raw Food Gourmet
. Throughout January, she is inviting folks to come learn how to prepare food, which will be served for the ongoing Raw Sunday Supper. Class fee is a minimum donation of $10.
Gabrielle's class announcement:
"After a fun and successful 2 month trial run, the hosts of Sunday Supper are committing to a raw food prep class before dinner each Sunday at 4:30pm in our NEW LOCATION: Kairos-Milwaukie UCC, 4790 Logus Rd, 97222
. We'll gather in the church kitchen for an hour to prepare several different dishes that we'll eat along with other courses at 5:30pm. Those who wish are invited to linger another hour after the meal for a spiritual discussion and prayer circle.
For this week's class, Ashland raw chef John Larsen
, featured at last year's Raw and Living Spirit Retreat
, will be in town to show us how to make two raw Indian dishes: Aloo Gobi and Spinach Paneer
. We'll enjoy the results along with a blended soup, Gabrielle's naan
and a memorable dessert
to make a 3 course raw feast. There is a minimum $10 donation for the class and dinner.
