Hi there! I was contacted by a woman in Connecticut looking to interview some vegetarians and vegans for a research project she is working on. Here are the details if you are interested in participating...
Hi vegetarian and vegan friends,
I am an Associate Professor of Sociology at Central Connecticut State University. I am conducing a study on consumption patterns of vegetarians and vegans and looking for people to interview. I am interested in why people have chosen to become vegan and how that shapes shopping experiences. I am also interested in how parents decide to raise their children veg (or not). I hope to publish this research in an academic journal and present the findings at sociological conferences. All interview participants will remain anonymous.
I have been vegetarian since 1990 and vegan since 1996 and am a part of a vegetarian potluck meetup in CT.
It doesn?t matter where you live in the country as these interviews can be conducted on the phone (at your convenience and my expense). The interview should last approximately 45-60 minutes. If you (or someone you know) would like to be involved in this project please contact me at [address removed] or [address removed] , call me at[masked], or through facebook/meetup.
This group seeks to bring together those interested in or currently living a compassionate vegan lifestyle for enjoyment and activities. Being Vegan is a journey in life and no two people travel it the same. So why not join and get to know a great group of people who are walking the same path. Northwest VEG generously pays for the meetup group fees, so you don't have to so be sure to support them as well! We also have a family group, Viva la Vegan - Family: http://vegan.meetup.com/492/
