Small Flash Photography Course

The course you've been waiting for from the two evil geniuses at Vivid!  Small flash and how to make it awesome.

We'll spend the whole day with you playing with small flashes and cameras showing you just how we go from blah to awesome every time!  See how Adam gets excited and starts wiggling his fingers (he does that) and Neil starts filling the swear jar (he's working on it) as thing start looking epic.

To attend this course you should already have:

• A camera with a hot shoe and an external flash.

• An understanding of how to set your camera settings in manual mode (so if we say set your camera to ISO 200, f4, 1/125th of a second you know how to do that) and a basic understanding of what an aperture, shutter speed and ISO is.

• A basic understanding of how to use your external flash. You don't have to be a master, but know how to turn it on, change the basic settings.

This day will be highly active.  You will be spending the bulk of your day with hands on learning.  Dress for comfort and properly for the weather.  Please bring your camera, one wide angle lens, one "normal or slight telephoto lens," your flash, extra batteries, memory cards and enthusiasm.

We'll provide the model(s), the knowledge and the inner workings of our brains. You will learn how to use off camera flash, where to put your lights and why.  How to work in the sun, shade, indoors and out.  We will be creative and fun and you will leave with images that will make you want to run home and edit them as soon as possible. This day will be hard work, but it will also

This will be absolutely fantastic. Can you tell we are excited?

If you like this course, watch for our "big light" course coming soon as well.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
