Scripting and Graphics: doing more with less...

John Bengston is Developer for VIS Visual Information Systems and has worked for numerous news organisations including ITN and Sky. John has developed a newsroom automation system called JustMacros to make scripting and graphics accessible, flexible and faster. He says: "In my opinion, live production is stuck in the later part of the 20th century, it’s time it improved to take account of the last 20 years."

John will talk about creative control of technology and demonstrate how “production / creative types” can develop their own interfaces, using the tools they know and avoid using technical and IT teams completely. He will demonstrate how it is possible to do things with less kit for less money without losing output performance. Alongside lively discussion there will be the chance of some hands-on "play time"

More details and images will be posted nearer the event... but in the meantime reserve this date in your diary!

PS: Vizrt UK is looking for a System Specialist to join our team based in Ealing Studios so if you know of someone who would be up for a challenging but never boring job please bring them along to the meetup or tell them to contact Maja [masked].

It was great to see so many of you at the Tup yesterday, the subject seemed to have triggered lots of interesting discussions and new connections... which is exactly what we're aiming for. I look forward to seeing you and your colleagues at the next meetup in two weeks time!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
