Why are you interested in joining the Vocal Brilliance Meetup Group?

To meet and sing with like-minded artists, music creators and singing enthusiast.

What is your background and experience as a singer? Do you consider yourself a beginner, intermediate, or advanced? What style(s) of singing do you prefer? Have you trained, or is the idea of voice training new to you?

Been singing all my life, mostly by ear. My style range from jazz, dance, soul & alternative.

If you have any specific goals you are hoping to accomplish, or ideas for Meetups you'd like to see scheduled, feel free to list them. (:

I'm looking to retrain my voice and practice performing in front of a crowd.

If you have any online presences (website, MySpace, You Tube, etc.) featuring you or your music that you'd like to share with other group members, please feel free to list them.

Grew up listening to mom's soul, funk, gospel and disco records, as well as digging in my family, friends and neighbor’s albums/45 collections. My love for music replaced dolls and other toys. Incorporate my poetry into songs. In a creative environment collaborated, performed & recorded with musicans-friends. From 2005- 2007, I was a music contributor for Giant Step on-line. Reviewed music from ‘Marc Mac presents Visioneers: Dirty Old Hip Hop' (Rocket BBE Records) to Citizen Cope 'Every Waken Moment' (RCA Records). I continue to write lyrics and collaborates, my current project is Verona Place Musical. Play written by Nathan Yungerberg, music by Volker Meitz, lyricists - myself & Manchild Black.
