Introduction
Experienced amateur singer focusing mostly on jazz and Broadway standards. Have performed as a soloist with piano accompaniment and with trio of piano, bass and drums.
Why are you interested in joining the Vocal Brilliance Meetup Group?
Have been away from singing for a while, and am looking to get back into it.
What is your background and experience as a singer? Do you consider yourself a beginner, intermediate, or advanced? What style(s) of singing do you prefer? Have you trained, or is the idea of voice training new to you?
As a youth, I sang in church choirs and school musicals, but then didn't sing regularly again until my 30's, when I started taking private lessons and frequenting jazz-oriented open mics in the city. I have put together a few jazz gigs over the years, but haven't done so in a number of years.
If you have any specific goals you are hoping to accomplish, or ideas for Meetups you'd like to see scheduled, feel free to list them. (:
I'd be most interested in small group workshops/master classes focusing on vocal production and performance technique; open mics would be an interest as well.
If you have any online presences (website, MySpace, You Tube, etc.) featuring you or your music that you'd like to share with other group members, please feel free to list them.
