I had an audition to join the NY Gay Men's Chorus. I was told that I was a singer but I needed to take some singing lessons. This year I registered to audtion for another gay chorus that will take place in the fall. I would like to improve my voice. I also need a refresher regarding reading notes, beats, etc.
I was a tenor in my high school chorus for 3 years. I also occassionally sang in front of my congregatation on Friday evenings. I can also sing as a countertenor.
I am 61 years old, single, live in Brooklyn, work for the NYC Dept. for the Aging. I've been there for 27 years. Looking forward to retirement at the end of this year.
The suggestions and exercises given by the instructor will be very helpful in developing my voice's full potential.
