You've never heard of Oakland Beautification Day?!?  Well, that's because I just made it up as a weekend followup to MLK Day of Service.

We will be working with Oakland City Councilmember Lynette McElhaney and other concerned citizens to beautify San Pablo Avenue between 16th and 35th Streets.  In particular, we will be painting over graffiti-covered light and street poles, removing trash from the streets, and reporting larger issues to Public Works.  The poles will be powered-washed by Public Works on Friday so that they are ready to be repainted by us on Saturday.  All materials will be provided; just bring your body and wear comfortable clothing.

Anyone from Berkeley who would like transportation, e-mail me directly.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
