Volunteers needed for Sundays 10:45am to 3pm to distribute and receive donations of ALL household items that are in good or better condition. http://furnitureassist.com/ Furniture Assist takes donations into our sheds at the Self Storage Facility in Kenilworth, NJ on 14th St. and distributes to families that have a referral from an acknowledged social agency. Help is needed to put these items into the storgae sheds and to help the "clients" take the items out. All of the items are taken in must be clean and usable, no repairs needed, microwaves, toaster oven, towels, dishes, bed frames, couches, tables, chairs, recliners and so on. Every week we help 30-50 families furnish their homes with whatever furniture we have that was donated, for FREE. Donations are to be delivered to the sheds, and volunteers will help remove the items from your truck or car. Tax receipts are available. We also have gotten furniture from Hotels, and Universities that are updating their furnishings. Consider carving a few hours out of your life to help people in need, you'll never feel better!
