About the project: In 1986, WestCOP established the Putnam Community Action Program branch of their organization to help overcome the hurdles families were facing in Putnam County. Since then, Putnam CAP has helped thousands of families struggling with the hardships of everyday life. Volunteers are needed to prepare and serve a hot nutritious meal for Putnam families in need. Volunteers will also be responsible for clean up once all guests have been served. This is a family friendly volunteer program - youth 14 and above can serve with an adult guardian.
About the event: This service opportunity is a part of The Volunteer Center's Serve & Remember service week. If you plan to attend, please make sure you also register via the website (see: http://www.volunteer-center.org/service2013) or call us at (914) 948-4452.
