Renowned author Kurt Vonnegut took an unflinching look at the world, tempered with a satirical eye and sardonic sense of humor. In honor of his wit and wisdom, the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library champions the literary, artistic and cultural contributions of the late writer, artist, teacher and New York City-resident. Vonnegut NYC is the New York City Chapter of the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library (located in Indianapolis, Indiana). We provide a forum for readers – lifelong and new alike – to celebrate the literary talents and cultural wisdom of Kurt Vonnegut, in the city he lived in and wrote about for many years. Enabling New Yorkers to explore his masterful works, Vonnegut NYC hosts book club discussions, film screenings, and other events. Thanks to donors and volunteers, Vonnegut NYC also continues Kurt Vonnegut’s fight against censorship and support of military veterans through outreach activities. Please join us!
