The ratio of women to men that enjoy all the benefits of social partner dancing to include Salsa, Ballroom, Swing, Latin, Hustle and even Country & Western dancing is at least two to one! Here is the bottom line, guys. A man that can dance is a man in tremendous demand! It's that simple.
I once heard a woman say that a man that dresses nicely to show respect for all the ladies he might meet, has genuine manners, unwavering integrity, good grooming, a sincere and honest heart and he is a man that can dance automatically becomes a man in very, very high demand...”a man for all reasons” ...the one that most every woman dreams about! WOW! And you could be one of those guys!
Here is an indisputable fact for you. Men who can dance never lack for a partner. It does not matter if they're old or young, not so handsome or handsome, below average intelligence or blindingly intelligent or anywhere in between, they will always be able to find someone to dance with if the women don't find him first! And, that “someone to dance with” is: 1) female. 2) very happy to be with you. 3) extremely attentive. 4) happy with you being in charge. 5) Very willingly in your arms! 6) She'll be back for more! How could this picture not appeal to you? Every woman wants to be in the arms of the man she loves being with, even if it's only for one dance! The big mystery is why men don't/won't make the effort to learn when they know deep down inside they would love to be one of those guys IN DEMAND too!
I've never met a man that didn't want the above, but I've met plenty who were apprehensive about going for it for fear of failing at it. One thing here is for sure. If you don't give it a shot, that's the ultimate failure.
Another indisputable fact: Any man who is coordinated enough to learn how to play golf, throw a football, dribble a B-ball, catch a baseball or handle a stick shift can learn to dance and I'll prove it to you too if you are willing to step up to the plate and take a swing at this “dance thang” like the millions of men before you! I know some of you will say that dancing isn't your thing. How do you know! You've not yet given YOU and dancing a fair chance together…yet!
Another indisputable fact: 90+% of men that give themselves a fair shot at becoming just decent social dancers STAY ON THE DANCE FLOORS FOREVER! You couldn't run them off!
Another indisputable fact: When a man dies, it's not likely that anyone will say, “He was a hard worker and always met his quotas"! But they might say, “He was such a wonderful guy and a perfect gentleman! He was one of the rare ones".
Another indisputable fact: Real men dance! Real men do whatever they want to! And if you try to counter this FACT with “only wimps dance” that flimsy excuse won't hold water anymore either! Chris Jericho, Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, Warren Sapp, Hines Ward and Evander Holyfield have proved that on Dancing With the Stars that real men dance. Bruce Lee, the greatest martial artist of all time was also an accomplished amateur Ballroom & Latin competitor and China's Cha Cha Champ 10 years BEFORE the movie “Saturday Night Fever” with John Travolta came out. Look what happened to Travolta's popularity after that movie. Straight up lie a rocket! These are REAL men that could care less what anyone else thinks. They do whatever they want to do and they're still REAL men/gentlemen too and their ranks are growing as the average guy wakes up and decides to join them! You guys would be in great company with these guys and you would fit right in with them IF you choose to give it a real try.
Another indisputable fact: “I can't dance,” “I don't like to dance,” “I don't want to be the center of attention” or “I broke my leg” are excuses that millions of wimpy men before you have used for eons and are lame excuses that women never bought in the first place and you wouldn't either if you were on the receiving end of those super silly responses. Dump them. Get new material. Let's examine the following two statements a little closer. “I don't know how to dance," and "I don't want to be the center of attention." These are the two sentences usually heard after "I don't like to dance." (This scenario is one where the woman actually asked the man to dance!) “I don't know how!” If you've never tried to learn, that's a true statement. Get someone to teach you even if it's not me. There was a time when you didn't know how to throw, dribble, swing or handle a stick shift either so you got help. This is a no-brainer solution! "I don't want to be the center of attention." That's probably true, too. But what you really mean is "I don't want to look stupid or awkward or uncoordinated and you don't want people pointing and laughing at you." I don't blame you. Here is the truth. If your naked, wearing a Big Bird costume or you are already an awesome dancer, everyone WILL watch you! Anything in between and NOBODY cares because they're all way too self-absorbed with their own dancing just like you. Again I say, you are not being watched so get past all that. That…is a man myth! “I broke my leg.” This deserves no response except to tell you it has never, ever been funny.
Another Indisputable fact: The ladies don't expect you to be a great or even a good dancer. All they want you to do is have the courage to try! They just want you to laugh, be a gentleman, tell a corny joke or two, cut up a little, to let the 'kid' in you out and be their friend first! Men, that's really not much to ask for and the respect you will gain from the women will astound you!
Another indisputable fact: Dancing is great exercise and a lot more fun than a gym. No one has ever died from dancing a Foxtrot, Waltz, Salsa or a Swing. And guys, which opening will be most effective if you ask her, “You wanna shoot a few hoops Saturday night,” or “Would you like to go dancing?” You know the answer already.
Another indisputable fact: For 20 years now "Dancing with the Stars" has made ballroom dancing popular again and with its continuing strong ratings, it'll be around for quite awhile. The woman/women in your life sure can't dance like the women on the show and they don't expect you to dance like Derek Hough or Mark Ballas either! All they ask is that you give it a try and learn a little Swing, a few basic Foxtrot moves, maybe a little Cha Cha, Salsa or Country & Western and they'll think you hung the moon! Again, they’ll think you hung the moon, gentlemen!
Let's Make A Deal! All you have to do is show up for class with a willingness to learn some of this stuff and as your completely committed teacher, I promise you I will take care of the rest! Another indisputable fact: Men who can dance are few and far between and, as the law of supply and demand tells us, those things that are rare are in high demand. How can you pass up the chance to be in high demand?
The last indisputable fact: Some of you have hangups about dancing because of your spiritual/Biblical beliefs. They danced appropriately throughout the entire Bible just as we will. For the record, no where in the Bible is it stated that dancing is a sin so that shouldn't be a worry of yours at all.
So with all that being said, it's time to step up guys! The women are ALL waiting! NO MORE EXCUSES!
Now.... Step up and get it done with us or continue to wimp out with the same silly lame excuses above the women don't buy anyway. Like the Marines, we only want a few good men! Are you one of them?
