WRITERS NEED OTHER WRITERS: for perspective and insight into our own work.
There are infinite writings to read. Why should anyone read mine?
Is there conflict to hook in my reader? Do my openings and closes compel? Is there sufficient line-by-line tension? How can I show versus tell? (I'm a poet and didn't know it.)
This supportive critique group is open to all writers of any genre seeking constructive feedback from peers on their work. Nothing to read this week? Stop by anyway to learn from others, practice your listening skills, contribute your comments and support fellow writers.
Meeting TWICE WEEKLY: Wednesdays & Sundays from 3 pm... until we finish!
25 Dubouchage Boulevard, Nice City Center, Nice, France 06000
Tel. (0)4 92 47 79 79
-- Take bus lines 4, 17 or 38 to the Dubouchage stop, right outside the hotel.
-- The Ellington is a 5-minute walk from either the Massena or the Jean Medecin tram stops.
Weather permitting, we meet in the Ellington's quiet, leafy outdoor courtyard behind the lobby bar. Otherwise, we met in the spacious room off the right-hand side of the lobby bar. This meetup is free but please buy at least a beverage to support our host.
If you'd like written feedback on your work -- always useful -- please bring copies.
