Meet at 10:00 in Asheville, return around 4:15 p.m. Distance around 4 miles. Level of difficulty is Moderate/Easy. This is a great hike up and over a knob, but it is not too steep. Features areas of exposed rock. Return is on an easy trail along a stream. This hike is very nice but lesser known one in Dupont Forest. NOTE: Will look for alternative hike location if roads are closed or weather is icy. To sign up, RSVP to hike leader Lisa McWherter at [masked] or call[masked]-4994.

It would be very helpful to those meeting at the trail head to know the ETA for the rest of the group departing from a central meeting area . Unfortunately I missed the group even though I waited until 11:10 assuming that a departure of 10:00 would get the group to the trail head by then . It would have been nicer to be with the group , but it turned out to be a beautiful day and a very pretty trail .

Hi, Kris. Sorry we missed you. Never expected you to hit the trail before we arrived. Hope to catch you next time!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
