How did you first discover WFMU?

i met david newgarden, the then music director, back when i was the music director of my college station, wunh in new hampshire. i'd check out the wfmu playlist every week to see what cool, impossible stuff was getting played there. and whenever i visited nyc, i was exited to tune in to 91.1fm!

What's your favorite WFMU show?

too many to say, over the years. shows that i always check out, though: scott wms, liz berg, ken, trent, daniel.... i've always loved irwin's shows. i really miss greasy kid's stuff. and andy waltzer. and charlie. and clay. and there was this guy in the early 90s who used to play very cool pop music -- i can't remember his name. but i liked his show a lot. i remember him once playing that q lazzarus song that was parodied in clerks II.

Why do you listen?

to get freaked!
