LET'S GET DIRTY(ER)! Come join us for a moderately technical, medium-paced Mountain Bike ride. Our group is comprised of a broad array of ages and strengths brought together by a common interest in fitness, the outdoors, and comradery.
Once the season starts, we meet every Wednesday and depart for a ride at 6:00 pm sharp - rain or shine.
Ride duration ranges between 90 and 120 minutes. Pace varies depending on the group that arrives. Ride intensity and terrain will vary depending on ride location, trail conditions, and the skill level of the riders that arrive.
No Brain Bucket, No Ride - None of us want to see what's not in your skull.
Bring your own hydration - Stated nicely, you don't want to catch what we have.
Bring a Few Greenbacks - If you're interested in grabbing a bite with the group apres ride.
ABOUT WNR - WNR was started by Mac over 10 years ago. In the past, knowledge of the group was distributed via word of mouth. WNR is comprised of a committed group of outdoor enthusiasts who, in the past, scheduled rides via the circulation of text messages, which has proven sufficient to accurately coordinate rides and share ride information. The purpose of this MeetUp group is to cast a broader net and gain a larger diversity of skill levels, which we hope will provide WNR riders more options to ride with those of similar skill and endurance. That said, don't assume that the head count for those that'll show to our rides will be the same quantity as displayed here the WNR MeetUp group...there will typically be 3 to 8 more than listed here.
Ride Schedule - It's WNR tradition to select the next week's ride upon conclusion of a Wednesday ride and, as such, our rides are only scheduled one week out. While this practice is not conducive to enabling people to pick and choose their rides in advance, we feel it enables those that participate in our rides have input on the next ride. It also enables us to select the next ride location with a good idea of what the trail conditions will be.
