osCommerce and WordPress - Together at Last

osCommerce is one of the most widely-used, stable e-commerce platforms and, like WordPress, osCommerce is open source.

Long before she'd even heard of WordPress, Ruth Maude, of Dandelion Web Design, was designing and building osCommerce online stores for clients.

Now that 90% of her web design projects use WordPress, Ruth is actually integrating osCommerce stores right into WordPress sites for her clients.

At our May 12th Meetup you'll learn how you can run an osCommerce store from inside your WordPress site with the WP Online Store plugin.

See you there!

I found it all quite fascinating and have to figure out how to incorporate it into my site. Ruth gave us a lot of great info. I had heard about Wordpress having a shopping cart and now I know.

Thanks to everyone for your kind feedback. If you like the WP Online Store plugin please give it a good rating on WordPress.org. Here are my slides and a list of links - http://gowp.ca/wordpress-plugins/wp-online-store/. ~ Ruth

Ruth Maude's informative and very effective presentation opened my eyes to the possibilities of using WordPress as an ecommerce site. I also enjoyed seeing how WordPress can be stretched to give a horizontal experience for an art site. This meetup group rocks!

Thanks Ruth, for giving a thoughtful and thorough explanation of the WP Online Store. I was sorry that I had to duck out early.

Very informative meetup. Thanks to Ruth Maude for answering a question I had for a while: what's the easiest/best way to integrate e-commerce into Wordpress. Ruth, as well as others, had lots of useful things to say. I will investigate all options to see what works best for me, starting with WP Online Store. Thanks Ruth!

Excellent presentation. I am currently evaluating eCommerce plugins for my Wordpress site. I have just added WP Online Store to the short list for evaluation, currently using Ecwid. I will share my findings once I have finished the evaluation.
