Two weeks have passed since WordCamp Toronto: Developers. It was a blast, and for all of you who attended, we hope you had a great experience.

A Little Cheer for the Holidays

Our plan for Saturday, December 15th is to go back to the basics: a casual, no-frills social meetup at Pauper's Pub on Bloor Street West. This is where the fun started back in 2009, with a group of WordPress enthusiasts getting together to talk shop over food and drink.

There's no agenda, no speakers, no cover. Just show up, take a seat, and grab a drink!

I am intersted in meeting people who are beginners like me and would like to learn how to go about creating my own website with Wordpress. Any information is most welcome, such as if there is a group like that and where and when do they meet? how can I can mor einformation to join?

  Hi Mumtaz, the Toronto WordPress Group is geared for new WordPress users who are just getting started. This month is a social meetup, but starting in January, we'll be doing regular session-style meetups.

  I also fall into the category of newbie and would like to come to meeting to learn from the pro's. Wish I could make the December meetup but I'm an active member of the Canadian Ski Patrol and have to work that day. Do you ever have meeting on weeknights geared to the new people?

  Hi Corbee! We haven't looked into doing weekday meetups, but nothing is stopping us from doing that in the future. :) Perhaps small social events during the week at a pub?

  Many thanks for the response message, I am in if you start "Weeknight WordPress Gatherings". Here is the site I have now but I didn't make it. It was done by one of our summer students and I want to take over and make it bigger and better! www.decorpro.ca Thats the goal.
