Are you an end-user, or a designer/programmer/consultant for WordPress?

Although a beginner with WordPress, I've been working with other website templates for a couple of years. My aim is to become a designer using WordPress, but I probably qualify as an end-user/consultant at this stage.

What do you mainly use WordPress for? (eg. blogging, personal website, professional or corporate website, etc.)

I've been using WordPress.com for several years as a blog; last year I started my own WordPress.org website, and am now working on several other people's professional sites. My clients include architects, writers and musicians.

How much experience do you currently have with WordPress?

I took Al Davis's Intro to WordPress course at George Brown College in September of 2012. He took us through the basics, and I have since purchased the wootheme Canvas. Currently I'm learning my way around that

What are you hoping to get from The Toronto WordPress Meetup Group?

As a freelancer, I find it important to network with others to keep up my ambition! Socializing with other people who are self-employed breaks the monotony of a one-person office routine. Also, I have a big interest in learning new skills by sharing in meetups and being part of a dynamic community such as the Toronto group seems! Note to editor: change Message Boards list to 'WordCamp Toronto 2013.'

Introduction

I am an artist, turned interior designer, turned editor, writer and graphic designer. I love the mix of text and images and in my spare time play around with photography and collage. One goal I have is to write and illustrate a graphic novel.
