The New Anti-Semitism: Boycott, Divest and Sanction

As the one and only Jewish state, Israel is constantly subjected to double standards, delegitimization, and demonization. The growing international movement to boycott Israel, divest from Israel, and sanction Israel (B.D.S.) has recently gained new momentum and followers.

This so-called BDS Movement is propelled by "activists of all stripes, certain Arab governments and Europeans who join them in their effort to cast Israel out of the global community. The movement’s stated aims are: (1) to create global boycotts of Israeli universities and industries (purportedly only those who do business in the “occupied” Palestinian territories); (2) to have nations, banks and industries divest themselves of investments in Israeli banks, companies and the nation as a whole; and (3) to obtain international sanctions against Israel, its economy and its people." (H/T Jed Babbin - Washington Examiner).

Join us at the JCC to learn about this BDS Movement, how it threatens Israel, and what you can do about it.

I'm curious Jim, what makes you say so?

My extensive formal and informal contacts with local ldrs and congregants over the years. On balance, very liberal. Though some exceptions, more and more like UCC and Unitarian, i.e. more akin to a liberal social/community outreach club than a church, per se. Have heard some congregants complain about the drift to the left. That's not to say that many "Catholics" aren't also smitten by leftist ideology as well. All churches are under assault.

Just read that by a vote of[masked], the Presbyterian Church, ONCE a mainstream Christian denomination, has voted to divest of Israel. Another Christian church bites the dust.

Jim would it be easier for all of us to come to your house so you don't have to drive all over Greece? Won't be a problem for me, just need your address but don't post address here for the public to see, send through email.
