To my fellow members of We Surround Rochester:

The time has arrived for us to return to the grassroots beginnings of We Surround Rochester, one of the top 10 largest 9/12 groups in America!  Did you know that?  You may be a longtime member, but our attendance at meetings have dwindled to alarmingly low numbers.  It's 2012, perhaps the most important election of our lifetimes is upon us.  Like our banner says, "All that is required for tyranny to triumph is for good men to do nothing."  Well said and very pertinent.  Perhaps even more importantly, we need to support each other during these tumultuous times.  WSR plans to have more informative and interesting meetings and candidate vetting sessions in the next few months.  We're also planning a bus trip to Cincinnati, Ohio for Glenn Beck’s next event should we get enough participants.  Hey, we had 4 buses to D.C. just two years ago, right?  Can we recreate the success this group enjoyed in 2010?  You tell me. 

VETTING CANDIDATES 8/28
We already have 11 fine patriots who said they will attend our first vetting session of the fall election season next Tuesday the 28th!  That's not bad for 24 hours, but for our group to remain credible in local politics, we need AT LEAST 50 people in the room next week!  If you can't make, RSVP "no" if you don't mind.  Click here: http://www.wesurroundrochester.com/events/78647502/.

ACTION NEEDED BELOW
We want to know who is serious about stepping up and staying active.  Also, if Meetup.com ever goes out of business or shuts down our site, we need another way to get in touch with each other.  Please take a second to email Helen Roberts (another Advisory Council member) and me, even if you think we already have your email. All Meetups will still be announced on www.WeSurroundRochester.com, but if we have your email address, we will have a backup plan just in case. Thank you for your attention and May God Bless our great nation.  If you're still in Rochester but no longer attending, I'd love hear why.  If you have another other ideas about what things we should do together, let me know.  We need more leaders to step up.  Until 6 months ago, I'd only been to 1 WSR meeting. 75 days and counting....
