Dear 9/12 team,
Tutoring kids can be a very rewarding experience. There's an opportunity to help some students at Lincoln School #22 (map: http://goo.gl/maps/T2zEK) the rest of the school year. Please email Christine Farnum directly at chris.farnum [at] gmail [dot] com (I have to write it like that to protect the email address from SPAM). Let her know that I sent you!
1. 4th-grade teacher wanted help during math from 11 to noon. Has no volunteers yet so could pick any day.
2. 3rd grade teacher seeks math help from 10:40 to 11:15. She has one volunteer on Wednesdays, so Tuesday would be better.
3. 1st-grade teacher has several Spanish-speaking students working on real basics: learning the numbers, counting. Math is conducted in English, but most of the their day is in Spanish. The time slot she requested help is from 8 am to 9:15 am. I believe that she has volunteers work 1:1 with students for 10-minute segments. That teacher has a volunteer already on Tuesday/Thursday, so Wednesday would be better.
I will see you over there!
