10am hike at Tilden Regional Park

Ben's choice for this Sunday is Tilden, so here it is.  The intended route is:

Seaview Trail/Bay Area Ridge T./Seaview T./Quarry T./Vollmer Peak T./Lupine T./Vollmer Peak T.

It should be about 6 miles.  We'll park in the 2nd parking lot, not the one directly in front of the trains.  Remember to have your dog on leash in the parking area.

Incredible group of hikers and dogs-not even one scuffle! Thanks to all for coming, Evelyn for the reading material and enough brownies for 5 meals, Thanh for the weapon;), and especially the leaders and copilots who I am indebted to.

The hike was great. It was the first time Totoro and I was in a group hike and we had lots of fun. People and doggies were all very friendly. Looking forward to next time.

My friend and I are on the waiting list and since I don't have a smartphone I don't always get the notification that a spot has opened up and I miss the opening. Can we show up at 10am and know we can come along? Please let me know and thanks for doing two groups :-) Looking forward to hearing from you.

I have put you on the list this time, since I confused everyone massively with all the notes and changes.

    February 23, 2013

Thanh, I and a friend are going to try and make it. But...I'm still at work and it may be all night which will stop me from making it all together. Hope not, though.

    February 23, 2013

    • Jenny B.

Devin, I hope you can make it. But (and this goes for all), the groups are limited for a reason so if you are on the waiting list in the future, please don't come! Having 30 people and 30+ dogs in one park will definitely give off-leash dogs a bad name. But we have a plan now, so come if you can.

    Thanks!

    February 23, 2013

    • Jenny B.

Yes, that's the one. Look for my baby blue truck as always:)

It's funny that this hike is "Ben's Choice" and he is on the waiting list. I'm also an event organizer. Do people on the waiting list want me to lead a 2nd group at 10:30 or 11:00am? Let me know.

    1 · February 23, 2013

    • Jenny B.

Thanks Thanh. I was definitely going to split this up. It's nice to have a volunteer leader. :) I'd like to start earlier anyway. I'll start a hike at 9am and see how many lemmings will join me.

      February 23, 2013
