Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve

I've never been here, but the geology looks very interesting.  Total of 5.8 miles.

Hike rating: Lots of steep slopes, so I'm guessing moderate to difficult.

Hiking pace: semi fast

This hike will leave PROMPTLY at the start time.

Each person will be responsible for himself - if you are unable to keep up with the group pace, the organizer will not be on the lookout for you. It is recommended that you obtain a map at the beginning of the hike in case the group is separated.

Sorry I took us uphill at the end when we should have gone down. We finished at 11:30 - 3 people and 2 dogs. I'm wondering how everyone else did.

The trail we took was about 1 mile, downhill, and in the shade. A little muddy, but not too bad. The other staging area had a lot of parking, maybe a better meeting place for next time!

Lisa, that was barely a 5 minute sidestep - you were totally on course! Glad to see Jenny's and Devin's pictures and Susan's reply. Hoping that means we all made it back without incident.

We will start with the group, but one of the "guests" is a little person so we will fall behind. Jasper just wants to say hi to all the other puppies, though.

Oh no - I hope Shadow won't bother Nita too much!

Trust me, nothing bothers Nita. Nita is a rude little girl and deserves some harassment from Shadow :)

Near the parking lot, out of the way of traffic.

I'd like to see this place. I hope I can get over there early enough - coming from West SF.
