Briones Regional Park, Briones Rd staging area - ~6 miles

Saturday is supposed to be cooler than Sunday, but I'd like to start early in case the day turns into a scorcher. The route will depend on the weather and how energetic I feel that day. It should be around 6 miles. The ponds are probably mostly algae now, but the dogs may be able to get damp.

This park is one of the larger ones and has a lot to offer.  I use the entrance off of Alhambra Valley Rd (near where it meets Reliez Valley Rd).  The turn off onto Briones Rd is difficult to see so it would be a good idea to locate it on a map so you don't miss it. It's just past the house with the windmill (if you're coming from the Reliez Valley Rd direction) and has a sign that says "Not A Through Street".  It goes uphill about a mile and is very narrow and windy so be careful.  Park at the top.  See you there!

Hike rating:  Moderate

 Hiking pace: semi fast

This hike will leave PROMPTLY at the start time.

Reasonable efforts will be made to keep the group together, however we will neither race nor wait forever, so if you suspect you may be exceptionally fast or slow, please grab a map at the staging area;)
