Bird Banding at Prairie Ridge CHANGED DUE TO COLD

March 23,2013, new time 9 to 11-ish.

John Gerwin posted this:  We banders are committed at this point, so we will make the best of it. We may not be able to capture birds until 1000 but we'll have 2+ hours and we can catch a lot of birds in two hours at that site, believe me.

Bird Banding at Prairie Ridge - WALK IS FULL.  Due to cold temps, the time has changed so that there is now just ONE group meeting (instead of two).    You can meet John G at Prairie Ridge at 8:30 a.m. and the netting will start at 9 a.m. The cold temps put the birds at risk so we had to make this change to allow for warmer temps. We had to combine the groups rather than cancelling the early group.  We hope you understand.

Registration required by contacting John Gerwin -  We already have 45 people so registration is now closed.

You can contact John Gerwin ([masked];[masked]) to make sure you are on the list.

You can attend any time up to 12:30; you don't have to stay the whole time.

I will lead a birdwalk at Schenck Forest (nearby) for anyone who finds there is no room for them at the birdbanding lesson.  - Erla[masked]

I will be there at 9 to take any "overflow birders" to Schenck Forest to birdwatch.

Remember, you have to RSVP with John Gerwin. RSVP'ing here is meaningless, as I am not forwarding these messages to John. You have to call or email him directly. I hope you have good weather for this exciting event!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
