Full Harvest Moon Walk

Meet up and Social Time:  700 p.m.

Walk Begins (promptly please!): 7:15 p.m.

It's time to enjoy the autumn bounties and beauties of nature in Southern California.  The full moon is never better than in the fall, so I'm planning three full moon walks for September, October, and...as we approach the winter solstice...December.  Stay posted for the walks in October and December.

Right now, this Thursday, plan to join us for a magical full moon walk along the Jack Dunster Marine Reserve! This walk will take about an hour.  Afterward, we can continue our festive mood by dining together (optional, of course.).

We will start at the parking lot by the tennis courts on Eliot Street where it meets Boathouse Lane. Cross the street and go down a pathway that parallels Boathouse Lane. We will cross the Rowing Club Building and the walk  through Jack Dunster Marine Reserve, which is on a peninsula behind the Rowing Club. We will then walk back toward the parking lot, where you can leave us or continue in a different direction, ending at a nearby Italian restaurant.

(Although the full Harvest moon will provide plenty of illumination), you may wish to bring a flashlight.

Hope to see you there!

We had a good walk, what happened to the rest of the 9 people who signed up for the walk?

I'm very sorry that I can't make this one tonight. I have an interview mid-afternoon that is quite a drive & by the time I get home I'll just be too tired to make the event. So, next time. Thank you.

Can anyone tell me how far the walk is?

Pam, I'm not sure of the exact distance, but it's an easy walk, especially if you only do the first part through the Reserve and back.
